Hydro Jet Drain Cleaning
What is Hydro Jet Drain Cleaning?
Hydro jet drain cleaning, also known as high-pressure drain jetting, is an advanced method employed to thoroughly clean sewer pipes. This technique involves utilizing a high-pressure water jet nozzle affixed to an extended hose to effectively dislodge debris and buildup within the pipes.
Operating at pressures typically ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 psi, but can even reaching up to 10,000 psi for particularly stubborn blockages such as hard scale or roots. This process ensures through cleaning and restoration of sewer lines.
The high-velocity water stream emitted from the jet nozzle exerts a powerful force, effectively propelling the jetting hose up the drain. This “rocket” force not only dislodges and removes obstructions but also thoroughly cleans the inner walls of the pipe, transforming debris into a slurry that is flushed downstream, leaving the pipes clean and unobstructed.
Run-Dry Technology
The concept of high-pressure drain jetting emerged in the 1960s, marking a significant advancement in drain cleaning technology. In 1980, Harben improved on this concept and introduced “high pressure – low flow” drain cleaning to the United States, revolutionizing the industry. Shortly thereafter, we launched the groundbreaking Jump Jet system, which greatly extended the reach of drain cleaning operations by several hundred feet.
Even today, Harben remains at the forefront of innovation in drain cleaning technology. With over 40 years of experience, we continue to lead the industry with our exclusive run-dry jetter. Our hydro jetters have been deployed worldwide, clearing blockages, descaling pipes, and cutting roots across thousands of miles of drainage systems, showcasing our unwavering commitment to excellence and reliability.
