Description

Harben Inc. is a world leader of high-pressure diaphragm pumps and provides high pressure sewer cleaning equipment to the municipal and contractor market. We have an immediate need for a Sales Manager for our established Northeast US territory.

Job Summary

The NE Sales Manager will be responsible to manage and grow our water jetting business in the NE United States.

Duties

  • Service existing customers, obtain orders, establish new customers by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales and trade contacts.
  • Focus sales efforts towards direct contractor sales and through the development of municipal dealer network.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain a professional and technical knowledge of the industry by attending trade shows, reviewing publications, and establishing a personal network.
  • Develop the ability to demonstrate and trouble shoot a Harben Sewer Cleaning Unit.
  • Weekly Reporting of calls, meetings, demos, and expenses

Location

  • Live within any of the states of Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey

Requirements – Skills / Abilities

  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Mechanical Aptitude
  • 50 to 75% travel through territory

Education and Experience

  • BA or Associate Degree preferred.
  • > 5 years’ experience within the plumbing and municipal water & sewer markets preferred.
  • 2 years of demonstration experience preferred.
